Sci-Tech Discovery Center’s slate of programming for March includes Spring Break Camps, Microsoft Drop-In activities, Scout Saturdays, MakerSpace and MakerStudio experiences and workshops, alongside regular daily programming such as Maker Tuesdays, Preschool Science Time, Fun Fridays, homeschool classes and more.

Spring Break Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 9-13. Campers are broken down into groups by grade level. First and second graders will take on subjects like Wildlife Explorers and Mixed-Up Chemists; third and fourth grade camps include Animal Adventures and Daring Detectives; fifth through eighth grade camps include Mad Scientist and Mythbusters Lab. Register online before camps fill up! Microsoft will also be on hand at the museum that week, hosting amazing drop-in activities regarding robotics, 3D design and more from noon to 2 p.m. March 12.

Scout Saturdays, which cost $20 per child, run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. This month, troops can learn about programming, building derby race cars, using resources wisely or designing roller coasters.

Every Saturday, your troop can earn badges for Girl Scouts, Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts. This month, troops can learn about programming, building derby race cars, using resources wisely or designing roller coasters.

1st-3rd grades – Intro to Robot Adventures: Students will use Cubetto, the wooden robot that introduces kids to code and computer programming.

4th-6th grades – Advanced Robotics:  Teams will modify existing robot cassis, use sensors and learn to program their movements to tackle our challenges.

MakerStudio Drop-Ins ($3)

Drop in to create and take home a DIY stamp, metal stamp bracelet, and learn the basics of printmaking.

MakerSpace Mini Workshops ($5)

Join us at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., or 3 p.m. in the MakerStudio to learn how to create LED wearable pins, pyrography, DIY planters and more. For children age 8 and older.
