GALLERIA DALLAS CELEBRATES BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Galleria Dallas is in the PINK in October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Galleria Dallas is partnering with Susan G. Komen of Dallas County® to increase awareness and to encourage screenings. As part of the festivities, the center will be bedecked with Texas’ largest pink ribbon on Level I near Center Court.

A Gittings/Susan G. Komen Dallas County portrait wall located near Center Court will include portraits of the Komen Dallas County board of directors and heroes as well as inspiring breast cancer survivors. Donations will be accepted for Komen Dallas County, and anyone who gives $500 or more to the cause will receive a Gittings photo package valued at $1,450. The exhibit will be on display from October 1-30.

Each week in October, the Galleria Dallas will host “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink.” Wear the color pink to the center on Wednesdays and get free skate rental at Galleria Ice Skating Center.

October’s Talent Talks events will focus on prominent breast cancer survivors as well as advocates for breast health. Talent Talks are a series of Zoom events that include Q&A sessions, demonstrations and more with notable speakers.

“Our relationship with Susan G. Komen Dallas County is allowing us to offer robust programming for our shoppers in the month of October,” said Chuck Steelman, Vice President of Experience at Trademark Property Group, which manages Galleria Dallas. “We hope that visitors to Galleria Dallas will be inspired by our Breast Cancer Awareness efforts to take care of their own health.”
