FEBRUARY AT SCI-TECH DISCOVERY CENTER INCLUDES NATIONAL ENGINEERING WEEK ACTIVITIES

Sci-Tech Discovery Center’s slate of programming for January includes National Engineering Week activities, Microsoft Drop-In activities, Scout Saturdays, MakerSpace and MakerStudio experiences and workshops, alongside regular daily programming such as Maker Tuesdays, Preschool Science Time, Fun Fridays, homeschool classes and more.

National Engineering Week, celebrated at the museum from Feb. 18-22, is a time to acknowledge all the valuable contributions made by engineers, and to recognize how important math and science are to our nation’s success. Sci-Tech will mark the week by holding interactive table-top activities each day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Microsoft will also be on hand at the museum that week, hosting amazing drop-in activities regarding robotics, 3D design and more from noon to 2 p.m.

Scout Saturdays, which cost $20 per child, run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. This month, Daisies and Brownies can learn about engineering, programming, building derby race cars or model cars, or designing fling flyers.

Most programs can be registered for in advance on Sci-Tech’s website, mindstretchingfun.org.

Here is the month’s lineup:
