Dallas Proper brings hospitality veteran to Knox-Henderson neighborhood

Dallas Proper, Knox-Henderson’s newest cocktail destination, is scheduled to open in the former Mister Rich location with a luxe bash on New Year’s Eve, December 31.

Owned by Refined Hospitality Concepts, Dallas Proper will feature a strong bottle service program and an innovative mixology program led by a unique signature cocktail menu. A collection of cocktail nibbles created by RHC’s Jeffrey Kollinger will complement the cocktail menu.

RHC has brought on noted hospitality veteran Torry Cray as General Manager for the chic new outpost. Cray developed a loyal following as the owner creator of The Bitter End in Deep Ellum and at Dallas’ Statler Hotel.
“The evolution of this space from a nightclub to a chic cocktail lounge is reflective of the evolution of the whole Knox-Henderson neighborhood,” notes Cray. “As this neighborhood has ‘grown up,’ the mood here is so much more sophisticated and polished.”

The new Dallas Proper features a look that is both light and airy yet shares retro notes from classic cocktail lounges of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Dallas Proper will host some of the region’s top DJ’s spinning a high-energy mix of the latest music. The cocktail lounge will be open seven days a week beginning December 31, 2019.

For the New Year’s Eve Grand Opening, Dallas Proper will host the neighborhood’s most luxe bash featuring bubbles by Veuve Cliquot, Dom Perignon and more. Guests at the chic soiree will enjoy light bites, fabulous party favors and a complimentary champagne toast.

General admission reservations for the Dallas Proper NYE are $25 per person and can be made at www.TheDallasProper.com. For those who want to do New Year’s Eve ‘Properly,’ VIP Admission including bottle service packages are available from $495 at the same site.
